In a release from the Mesa Police Association (MPA), a labor organization, information provided was not accurate. The two initial Mesa Police officers that arrived on scene, "Did not engage" the suspects as was stated by the MPA. The suspect vehicle had fled the scene prior to their arrival. The officers did arrive and render aide and information to additional responding officers.
